FibreMax produces lightweight precision cables for heavy lifting

NETHERLANDS based FibreMax says it specialises in the production of lightweight precision cables made of synthetic fibres for heavy lifting applications.

According to the company, its lightweight pendant products are advantageous for crane manufacturers as it adds lifting capacity. It is said to require little installation effort and is safe to handle.

The company says the cables have a lifespan of 40 years and weigh 80 to 90% less than conventional steel wire ropes and are 10% thinner.

FibreMax claims no splicing is necessary with the cables as terminations are incorporated and the cables are torque free.
